Heron Lake State Park, New Mexico – Day 17

As a holder of the New Mexico Annual Camping Permit (non-resident $225), I can stay up to three weeks in a park which I am currently doing here at Heron Lake.

In yesterday’s Blog entry I mentioned that I had my best day physically since the May 27th accident. So much so, that I was able to climb down and back up the 600 feet to the Rio Chama and suspension bridge below. Two weeks ago because of my physical state I could only look down and take photos from the overlook and river below.

Today I show photos during my descent, tomorrow I’ll show the river and suspension bridge…

Here are some of the photos that I took…

As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…

See tomorrow’s entry for photos of the river and suspension bridge.
