Don Quixote Heaven..

Remember Don Quixote? He was the Man From La Mancha…a knight-errant who set off into the world to do battle with windmills.

Well yesterday Mary and I visited Don Quixote heaven about 20 miles east of our present camping site . It’s the San Gorgonio Pass Wind Farm. It consists of more than 4,000 electrical-generating windmills and is located in North Palm Springs, California. Mary has a real interest in energy-efficient devices and really appreciated seeing these guys up close and personal. Normally they’re atop some distant mountain. While we were there, the wind was at about a constant 50 miles per hour!
