I lived in Olympia, Washington from 1980 to 1995. I departed Olympia in December of 1995 to begin my full-time RVing lifestyle…almost 16 years ago. Whenever I’m near this area I like to stop in a say hello.

Yesterday Mary and I drove the motorhome the about ten miles from the Red Wing Casino near Yelm to the American Legion Post #94 in Lacey, Washington…the city next to Olympia. We left the motorhome there and took the Bronco to visit some of my long-time friends.

Our parking spot…

My friends Jim and Joan have been RVing since 1958 and still maintain a home here. They’re on the road about nine months a year…

My friend Shawn is an attorney, a real funny guy and enjoys foreign foods. Here he is admiring a sesame ball…

My friend Keri was my hair stylist for many years…

Debbie is the Director of Thurston County  Public Access Television. I hosted 95 programs there in a three-year span from 1992 to 1995…

Visiting long-time friends is just one of the many joys of the full-time RVing lifestyle.

Snoqualmie Falls

September 21, 2011

Yesterday Mary and I traveled about 75 miles South from Monroe…to Yelm, Washington. Instead of going my usual way along the Interstate Highways…we elected to go the “back road” or more scenic way. We traveled Washington State Routes 203, 202, 18, 167, 512, 7 and 507. Along the way we passed Snoqualmie Falls Hydroelectric Power Plant…part of Puget Sound Energy. At 270 feet the falls are ten stories higher than Niagara Falls.

Here are four photos you can click on to see an enlarged view…

This photo is of a picture on an information sign…

We spent the night in the parking lot of the Red Wind Casino and visited with my long-time friends Larry and Jan Seaberg. Larry is an Elder of the Nisqually Indian Tribe which owns and operates the casino…
