Navajo Lake State Park, New Mexico - Day 3

We’ve been parked here for the last three days. I’ve been resting and recuperating from the terrible accident of 22 days ago. I’m still wrapping my chest with an elastic bandage and still taking codeine-based pain medication. Mary’s been busy packing for her trip back home. Yup…three days to pack…she’s collected/purchased a lot of stuff in the last six weeks.

This morning we’ll drive the motorome the about 35 miles to Farmington, New Mexico where she will catch the 7:00 AM Albuquerque Airport Shuttle tomorrow morning. It’s supped to be 96 degrees in Farmington today…YUK! As soon as she departs I’ll head for higher ground for cooler temperatures.

It’s been a good stay here…other than temperatures in the low 90′s. I’m hoping to get Mary back by August 1st. In the meantime, I’ll continue with my rest and recuperation with a little sightseeing along the way.
