We’re In Navajo Country!

May 23, 2012

Yesterday we drove the motorhome the about 35 miles from Red Rock Park Campground near Gallup, New Mexico. After morning activities of doing laundry, then grocery shopping, we arrived mid-afternoon in Window Rock, Arizona,

As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…

By double-clicking on the map you’ll be able to see the red star I’ve placed at Window Rock, which is just a couple of miles from the New Mexico border. The red star is appropriate as Window Rock is the capital of the Navajo Nation…

We are parked along side of the Navajo Nation Museum which we will visit today along with other local attractions.

In this long-range photo, we are parked at the base of the furthest rock,,,

A closer view…

Looking back in the other direction…

The view from our dinette window…

The door to our motorhome faces the front door of the Navajo Nation Museum…

We expect to depart tomorrow.
